History

Built in Attica, Indiana in 1906 by J.W. Harrison as part of The National Car Coupler Company, the name was changed to The Harrison Steel Casting Company in 1917. From these humble beginnings, our plant has grown to 650,568 square feet on 201 acres of land. We entered the engineered castings business during World War I, at which time our full capacity was devoted to military use. Since then, Harrison has come to be known as one of the world's largest producers of top quality, carbon and low alloy steel, and ductile iron castings. Our manufacturing processes and equipment are very proven and cost effective utilizing high technology support systems.
The company has been family owned and operated since its inception. Our mission is to provide high value and service to achieve cast solutions for our customers. We strive to establish and maintain close, long lasting relationships with our employees, customers, and the community of our location. We maintain one driving guideline in providing cast solutions: SATISFY THE CUSTOMER. Our management style is informal and results oriented. As a result, capital investments are driven by our customers and employees.
Beginning as a steel foundry servicing the railroad industry, the company now focuses upon Mining, Construction, and Power Transmission industries. To better serve these and new industries' needs the company has reinvested in its people and capabilities. This combination of a modern facility, motivated, skilled employees, and straightforward management has made the company a premier supplier to demanding and value conscious customers.
